********AMBER MARIE GOFF********
Amber is a wonderful daughter. There are many facets to her personality that many don't see. Some of that is due to herself, she isn't very open, can appear stand-offish. She is like me in many ways (this is why we butt heads) yet she is definitely her own person. She is a hard worker and a devoted friend. She is compassionate, has a very soft heart. Amber is also very head strong and fighter. She has had a desire to become a radiologic technologist for several years now. At first she didn't have the classes she needed in order to apply, so she went to school and took those classes and applied the following year. Unfortunately last year Amber didn't get in, even though I had shared with her a vision that the Lord gave me showing hospital doors opening for her. She was devastated when she didn't get in last year and was only an alternate. I encouraged her to call director of the program to find out why she wasn't chosen, what she could do to increase her chances of getting in this year, he told her she needed more medical experience. I had a great experience (25 years ago) at Professional Careers Institute. I was hired by the Dr. I did my externship for and it enabled me to reach my goal of getting married. I encouraged Amber to go check out the school, it is only 6 months classroom and 2 months externship, she would be finishing up at around the time she would submit her application for PCI. She decided to go, got hired by the Drs who she externed for, however, she pursued her dream - she applied again this year for the Hancock Memorial School of Radiology. The next obstacle is the fact they raised the grade for chemistry in order to be qualified (she is currently retaking the class), but DESPITE THAT she received her call yesterday and she is in!!!! She has to pass chemistry with a B in order to be in for sure, so pray, pray, pray!!! God has given her the desire of her heart, He is so faithful. Last week when Ed and I were heading to the church retreat, God brought to mind the vision He gave me about the hospital doors opening to her and he said you are getting in radiology, good things come to those who wait. I was blessed but after last year, I didn't run to her, I did however share it with Ed on the ride, I wrote it down, March 31, 2006, 1:53 pm, Rd 421. I also shared it with my Aunt Louise. Yesterday before Amber's second interview, I texted her and said - Good things come to those who wait, God is with you. I am so blessed for her and wanted to share all of this, because I am proud of her and so grateful to God on so many levels and to encourage you also, our timing is not always Gods timing, He knew when she should and would get in the program, I am grateful that Amber doesn't give up, knowing God is with her.
